Feature Timeline Roadmap Templates

Use timeline roadmaps when you have external commitments (customer contracts, partner launches, regulatory deadlines) that require date precision. Use non-date roadmaps (Now/Next/Later) when you want flexibility and your audience does not need specific dates.

Use confidence levels. Items in the current quarter should be high confidence (narrow time range). Next quarter items can be medium confidence (wider range). Items 6+ months out should show as approximate or "target" dates. Never show a single date for uncertain items.

Draw arrows between dependent items. Color-code by team or workstream. Highlight the critical path. Use the timeline to identify scheduling conflicts early. The templates include dependency connectors you can customize.
