Copyright Policy

IdeaPlan respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on www.ideaplan.io infringes a copyright you own or control, you may submit a takedown notice as described below.

Filing a Takedown Notice

To be effective, your written notice must include the following, consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail (such as the URL) for us to locate it.
  • Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Where to Send Notices

Send DMCA notices to our designated agent at dmca@ideaplan.io. You may also reach us through our contact page. We review valid notices and will remove or disable access to material that is found to be infringing.

Counter-Notification

If your material was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification that includes:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the U.S., any district in which IdeaPlan may be found).

Repeat Infringers

In appropriate circumstances, we will restrict or terminate access for users who are found to be repeat infringers.
