Who should write the solution brief?+
Product marketing is the typical owner, with input from product management (problem validation, solution details), sales (buyer language, objection handling), and customer success (proof points, outcomes). The PM provides the substance. PMM provides the framing.
How many solution briefs does a product need?+
One per major use case or buyer persona. Most products have 3-5 primary use cases. Start with the use case that drives the most revenue or has the strongest proof points. Add more as you collect evidence for other use cases.
Should solution briefs be gated behind email capture?+
No. Solution briefs are sales enablement tools. Making them freely available on your website increases the chance they reach the right buyer at the right time. Gate your longer-form content (whitepapers, research reports) instead.
